Colorado faces many of the same water impurity issues that affect other states throughout the U.S. The growth of our population and the increased demands on our water supplies strain our water resources in Colorado. There are many other reasons, including topography, geologic circumstances, industrial chemical discharge and limitations in water treatment which also impact the quality of water in Colorado.
