WHAT'S IN THE TANK MATTERS.
Most systems — even the pricey ones — drop a few liters of commodity granular activated carbon into a skinny 8-inch tank and call it a day. The "premium" ones mix a bunch of medias into one pile and hope. We don't do either.
The Tank has two chambers inside. Two medias, kept apart, doing two different jobs. Because when you mix medias together, you get the benefit of none — marketed as the benefit of all. We know water. We don't mix.

It's carbon. From Boston. What did you expect us to call it. Commercial-grade catalytic carbon with up to 2.5X the surface area of the commodity stuff everybody else shovels in — because the Irish guys from Boston are all 2.5X stronger than everybody else. That's just science. It goes after chlorine and chloramines, bad taste, bad color, bad smell, trihalomethanes, humic substances, tannins and lignins, phenols — and knocks down heavy metals: arsenic, boron, bromides, chromium, copper, lead, mercury. That's chamber one. The warm-up act.

Not KDF. Never KDF. KDF is what most brands use, and they think it's great. We hate it. KDF is a damn antique — a relic from the early days of water filtration, sitting in home tanks since 1987. Our zinc-copper redox technology is the upgrade the industry never bothered to make. Where we're going, we don't need KDF.
WHAT'S REDOX?
Maybe you skipped as much chemistry class as we did. Basically: as water flows through the media, it undergoes a continuous electrochemical reaction. The zinc-coated carbon donates electrons (that's oxidation). The copper-coated carbon accepts them (that's reduction). Class dismissed.
That controlled redox environment destroys organic contaminants, pharmaceutical residues, and glyphosate; takes out Legionella, E. coli, and Salmonella; knocks down heavy metals; and neutralizes harmful microorganisms. All with no electricity, no cartridge, no monthly anything. Chemistry works for free.
Why call it The Flux Stage? Because it cranks your water's oxidation-reduction potential to +900 to +950 millivolts — an electrochemical environment where microorganisms simply don't make it. 1.21 gigawatts? Don't need 'em. We spent 32 years in Boston — a few of them living right on the Charles River. The river in the song. "Love that dirty water" wasn't a lyric to us; it was the view from the window. A.Every system ships with a detailed instruction manual — and we put the whole thing online, free, before you buy. Most DIY'ers with basic tools will be just fine. And it's all any plumber worth his salt is going to need. (Yes, we know. No salt. The joke stays.)
Q.WHAT IF I GET STUCK?
A.Read the manual again. It's a long afternoon's read, not 'War and Peace.' Tools, parts list, eleven steps, troubleshooting — it's all in there.
Q.CAN I CALL SOMEBODY?
A.You can call a plumber near you. That's the whole business model. We spent the phone-guy money on better filter media instead.

Q.DO I NEED A PLUMBER?
A.If you're asking if you need one, you probably do. Review the install guide — or get a quote from a local plumber — before you buy. Either way, it's a weekend of work, not a kitchen remodel.
Q.IS IT REALLY COMMERCIAL GRADE?
A.Yes. Same class of tanks, valves, and media the big-ticket brands use. We just skipped the showroom, the polo shirts, and the markup.
Q.WILL IT COVER MY WHOLE HOUSE?
A.Up to 3 bathrooms, yes — that's most houses in America. The rating: 2 showers running at once plus normal household draw, like a dishwasher and a running tap. More than 3 bathrooms, or a house that regularly runs more than 2 simultaneous showers? This system may be undersized for you. Undersized filtration means water moving through the media faster than the media can work, and we don't sell things that can't keep up. Congratulations on the big house. Q.WHAT'S WITH THE NAME?
A.We lived on the Charles River in Boston for years. 'Dirty Water' is the love song they wrote about it. Then we moved to Austin, met Texas hard water, and decided one dirty river was enough for a lifetime. The name honors the old water. The filter handles the new stuff.
